Offerings is a cross platform project that includes photo media prints, light box installations, DVD super 8 footage and soundtracks. Development of the project took place in Melbourne, Australia and in Vietnam, Thailand and Laos. 

In 2007, Vicki McConville underwent a test in hospital that resulted in a cardiac arrest. She was revived after two and a half minutes. The ‘cardiac event’ was serendipitously captured on heart monitor print outs and filmed ‘live’ on DVD. 

The Offerings project relates to McConville’s experience of ‘dying’ for two and a half minutes, her interest in where she ‘went’ (if anywhere) for those two and a half minutes and her ongoing interest in connections between the secular and the sacred.
